Celebrating the Power and Stories of Richmond Women
The Richmond Times-Dispatch invites you to “Strong Voices,” a program honoring women whose vision, impact and commitment have served Richmond and Virginia.
To celebrate Women's History Month, join us on Monday, March 16, for a luncheon program featuring Melissa Chase, Faith Flippo, Anne Lynam Goddard, Anne Holton, Adele Johnson, Enjoli Moon, Sister Vicky Segura, Vilma Seymour and Lynn White.
You’ll hear their stories in their own "Strong Voices" – personal reflections, tales of perseverance, sources of inspiration, and how they are extending the path for the next generation of women.
The "Strong Voices" program also will feature special remarks by historian Sandra Treadway, who in more than 40 years at the Library of Virginia has elevated women's history throughout the state.
"Strong Voices" will be held at Omni Richmond Hotel in Shockoe. Guests should arrive by 11 a.m.
Attendees also will receive a pre-publication copy of the "Strong Voices" special section that will be distributed the following Sunday, March 22, to all RTD subscribers and single-copy buyers.
A portion of proceeds from "Strong Voices" will benefit the Library of Virginia Foundation, in recognition of its preservation and promotion of culture and history in Virginia.
