MEET THE CHEF: Timothy Parker - Executive Chef
Timothy "Tim" Parker is currently the executive chef/chef partner at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar. He began his culinary career at the age of 16 at Williamsburg's famous Le Yaca French Restaurant, which led to a kitchen leadership role at The Whaling Company, also in Williamsburg. From there, Parker explored larger corporate positions and he became a kitchen manager at Ruby Tuesday. In 2005, he accepted a position as sous chef at the Hilton Riverfront in Suffolk. Parker studied at The American Culinary Federation where he became certified as chef de cuisine in 2006. He has been executive sous chef at Patriot's Colony in Williamsburg, executive chef at The Omni Hotel in Newport News, executive chef at Johnston-Willis Hospital, and has now found a home at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar as chef partner. Upon meeting him, you will instantly recognize his passion for both food and people. Chef Parker's culinary objective is to open people's minds and palates with ethnic-inspired dishes that are rooted in the great traditions of Southern cooking.
